A 24-year-old woman was violently robbed in East Williamsburg last was week when she was slashed with a knife after refusing to give the robber her belongings, according to the NYPD.
On Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 1:20 a.m., the woman was walking near 130 Humboldt St when a man approached her with a knife and demanded she hand over her property. When she refused, the man slashed her about the head, torso and arms causing several lacerations and bleeding, police said.
The unidentified man then forcibly removed the victim’s backpack with her wallet, cash and electronics valued at about $2,000 inside.
An ambulance transported the woman to an area hospital in serious, but stable condition. The suspect ran eastbound towards Boerum Street.
He is described as black, 20 to 30 years of age, and was last seen wearing no shirt and blue jeans, police said. They released the above photo and video of the suspect.
