The Greenpoint Post is part of the Queens Post group, a subsidiary of Outer Boro Media, which publishes seven local news sites in Queens and one in North Brooklyn.

PUBLISHER

The Queens Post is owned and operated by Christian Murray and Czarinna Andres.

Murray is a veteran journalist who worked as a reporter for Newsday and Thomson Reuters prior to establishing the company. He has a master’s degree from the Columbia School of Journalism and is a graduate of the University of Auckland.

Andres is a long-time Sunnyside business operator. She owned Bing’s Hallmark in Sunnyside and is presently on the board of Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District and is a member of Community Board 2. Andres is a graduate of Assumption College in Manila.

    Taller residences, less parking, and more infill buildings will be allowed in New York City if the mayor’s City of Yes for Housing Opportunity zoning changes go ahead as planned. The draft text for the proposal was released Thursday by the NYC Department of City Planning, the final installment in the sweeping City of Yes zoning proposals that supporters say will increase climate-friendly infrastructure, small business growth, and housing affordability.
