Woman found dead in Greenpoint apartment

248 Driggs Avenue

A 28-year-old woman was found dead on her bedroom floor with head trauma Tuesday afternoon in Greenpoint, police said.

According to an NYPD spokesman, the deceased, who lived at 248 Driggs Ave, had been drinking and doing drugs prior to going to bed around 4:30 a.m.

She fell asleep next to her boyfriend, a 26-year-old male, but was found dead later that day at 1p.m.

The cause of death is being determined by the medical examiner and the investigation is ongoing.
