Thief Steals $280 Bicycle From Williamsburg Apartment Building: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who stole a bicycle from a Williamsburg building last week.

The thief forced his way into 143 South 8th St. just before 5 a.m. on May 13, and stole a bicycle valued at $280, police say.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking and carrying the bike through flights of stairs before exiting through the building’s front door.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, approximately 35 years old, with a height of 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts, and black sneakers.
