Greenpoint Avenue will have to do with one less locale, as The Bounty has closed its doors.

The bar and restaurant, serving New American cuisine at 131 Greenpoint Ave., closed over the weekend, according to an Instagram post written on Friday.

“We sincerely apologize to everyone hit with this sudden news and closure, especially to those that have always supported us, loved us and cheered us on,” part of the post reads.

The Bounty opened in 2013, and was run by the same group that owned The Drink, a bar in Williamsburg that closed last year, according to Eater.

The Bounty mainly served dishes with a seafood focus, including crab cakes, clam chowder, and fish and chips. It also featured a daily raw bar for lunch and dinner.

“Our aim was to be a go-to place that wouldn’t let you down and might even surprise you,” the owners wrote on Instagram, noting the countless weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, dinners, and date nights they’ve hosted over the years.

It is unclear if the closure is temporary, as a sign posted outside The Bounty says the restaurant is “closed until further notice.”

The owners did not immediately respond to questions on the reasons for the restaurant’s closure.
