The seventh annual winter restaurant week on Grand Street begins next Tuesday, offering residents a chance to enjoy a three-course dinner for no more than $35 at local Williamsburg restaurants.

Grand Street Restaurant Week runs from Tuesday, Feb. 18 through Sunday, March 1 and includes 15 restaurants offering deals.

Many of the 15 participating are charging $20 or less for three courses, in an attempt to entice locals to try something new in the neighborhood.

The diverse mix of restaurants will provide foodies with plenty of choice — such as empanadas, pizza, Thai home cooking, Latin-inspired cuisine, Mexican offerings, Indian food and sandwiches.

The participating restaurants are a combination of young and old. Three of the restaurants have been on Grand Street for more than 20 years, three are new to restaurant week; and nearly half are run by Latin business owners.

Many of the 15 restaurants are returning participants from the summer edition of Grand Street restaurant week.

The restaurant weeks are typically a boon to Grand Street businesses. For instance, last summer’s Grand Street Restaurant Week saw business jump about 16 percent at participating restaurants, according to the Grand Street BID.

“We’re fortunate that we’ve seen increased success each year we’ve had the event,” Executive Director Erin Piscopink said. “Restaurant Week is something we’re happy we can do for our community to give people incentive to go out and enjoy the diverse and outstanding restaurant collection we have here on Grand Street.”

The Grand Street BID is also hosting a social media contest as part of Winter Restaurant Week. To enter, diners should share a photo of their prix fixe experience with the tag #DineOnGrand on social media. One winner will get $50 to a Grand Street BID restaurant of their choosing.
