A pair of thieves stole thousands of dollars from the Meatball Shop at gunpoint and forced an employee into a freezer early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Two men walked inside The Meatball Shop on 170 Bedford Avenue at around 3:00 a.m. on August 9, one wielding a gun, and forced a 30-year-old male employee down to the basement after demanding money.

Once they got to the basement, the robbers demanded the employee open the restaurant’s safe, and stole $2,000 in cash.

The employee was then forced into a stand-up freezer before the two men left the restaurant.

Police have released surveillance photos and video of the suspects, both described as male, black, and between 30 to 35 years old. One of the suspects is 6’0, 210 pounds, and has a beard. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with the word “Brooklyn” on it and a black shirt with black pants.
