NYPD: Two cameras, cash, credit cards stolen from vehicle in Greenpoint

July 19, 2017 By Nathaly Pesantez

Police are looking to locate a man who allegedly broke into a woman’s car in Greenpoint and stole cameras and cash.

The victim parked her car near Norman Avenue and Sutton Street around 9:35 am on Wednesday, June 14, only to return to find property taken from her vehicle, police said.

Video footage provided by police shows the suspect getting out of a red Jeep Liberty from the driver’s side, and then walking across the street to reach into the victim’s car.

The suspect then bent into her car from her front passenger window, and stole two cameras, and a brown bag with a debit card, credit cards, and cash. He then fled the scene by driving off in his jeep.

The man was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
