NYPD: Man stabbed to death in Greenpoint last night

A Greenpoint man was stabbed to death on Monitor Street last night, according to police.

The police were called to 155 Monitor Street, adjacent to McGolrick Park, at around 9:30 pm after they were alerted of an assault. Upon arrival, they found George Carroll, a 42-year-old man who lives on Monitor Street, with a stab wound to the chest.

EMS transported the Carroll to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
