NYPD: Man Fatally Shot Outside East Williamsburg Housing Project Early Sunday

A Crown Heights man was fatally shot outside an East Williamsburg housing project in the early hours Sunday, police said.

Kevin Wood, 29, was shot in the chest at 50 Debevoise Ave., by Cooper Park Houses, at around 4:10 a.m., police said. He was transported to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
