Police are searching for a man wanted for two robberies that took place last month inside two Bushwick L train stations.

On April 13, around 10:40 a.m., the suspect asked a 25-year-old woman to swipe him into the Myrtle/Wyckoff station. The woman declined and entered through the turnstile. As she walked down the stairs towards the platform, the man approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground, took her purse and fled the station. Her purse contained $250 cash and a debit card.

The woman fractured her left foot as a result of the incident, and was transported by EMS to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

Nearly one week later, on April 19, the same man approached a 55-year-old woman inside the Halsey Street station around 9 a.m. He robbed the woman of her purse, which contained $15 cash and four credit cards, and left her with pain in her right arm, police said. The suspect then fled on foot heading northbound on Covert Street.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and 20 to 30 years old. He was last seen wearing  a black and white bucket hat, a black jacket, black pants and black sneakers.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
