Man Stole Electric Bike from Popular Williamsburg Pizzeria: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who stole an electric bike from a popular Williamsburg pizzeria last month.

The man grabbed the e-bike that belonged to Joe’s Pizza, at 216 Bedford Ave. and took off with it on Feb. 16, police said.

The suspect got inside the pizzeria’s storage area through a side entrance, where he found the e-bike around 7:15 p.m. He took off with the bike in an unknown direction, police said.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Under construction near the waterfront, the 381-unit building at 16 Dupont St. is part of Greenpoint Landing, the 22-acre, 10-building complex made possible by the 2005 Greenpoint-Williamsburg rezoning.
