Tropical Storm Isaias battered the city with torrential rains and high winds Tuesday afternoon, toppling many trees and causing power outages.
The winds in New York Harbor sustained nearly 60 miles per hour, with gusts up to 75 miles per hour, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The MTA suspended above-ground subway services for a period of time as trees and other debris fell onto tracks in several locations in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, the MTA stated.
