The NYPD is looking to identify an individual who is wanted in connection to an assault in Williamsburg.
The suspect fought a 56-year-old male victim and beat the victim with his own cane, cops said.
The victim was transported from the scene of the altercation in front of Bravo Supermarkets at 785 Grand St. to a local hospital for pain and swelling. His alleged attacker is described as a Hispanic man with brown eyes and black hair, according to police.
In a video released by the NYPD, the individual can be seen yelling and swinging the cane, as he stands over the victim who is laying on the sidewalk.

The real hero of this story is the individual that recorded this. Everyone else that just stood around doing nothing should have taken out their phones to record the beating so we could watch it from different angles.
Or maybe stop him from beating the man? That would have helped, too.
Unfortunately those days are long gone in our wonderfully diverse city. This is NYC not Disneyland. Anything you do to help will have some lawyer hit you with a multi-million dollar lawsuit. It’s every man for himself.
What if someone jumped in and got hit and killed? What if that someone had a family to support, and now, for trying to be a hero, cannot support the family effectively leaving their family in poverty … just for trying to be a hero?
What if it was your family member that was being beaten. Wouldn’t you want a good samaritan to help save his/her life. No one is looking to be a hero. But we should all try to prevent an ugly result.
The best thing is to be a reliable and viable witness. One person hurt or worse is a lot better than more than one person.
That stupid “see something, say something” stance is a recipe for disaster in this sanctuary City. That stance does not protect the person squealing from assault or worse should the assailant turn on that person. Everyone is in his or her own in this pro-violence city!
