Lottery Opens For 16 ‘Affordable’ Units in East Williamsburg Building

A housing lottery for several units at a East Williamsburg development has just opened.

Sixteen units in a newly-constructed development at 89 Bartlett Street are on offer with rents starting at $1,080.

The one-bedroom units are available for up to two people. An annual household income between $37,029 and $43,860 is required for one person, with the income requirement bumped to $50,100 for a household of two.

Half of the units are reserved for residents of Brooklyn Community Board 1, an area that covers Greenpoint and Williamsburg.

Applications, available here, must be submitted online or through mail before May 30.

An affordable housing lottery has launched for 115 apartments in a glassy luxury tower in Greenpoint with a swimming pool and interiors by prominent Brooklyn design firm Workstead. Under construction near the waterfront, the 381-unit building at 16 Dupont St. is part of Greenpoint Landing, the 22-acre, 10-building complex made possible by the 2005 Greenpoint-Williamsburg rezoning.
