Knife-Wielding Thieves Rob 16-Year-Old at Grand Street Subway Station: NYPD

Oct. 28, 2019 By Allie Griffin

A 16-year-old’s phone was stolen by thieves armed with a knife at the Grand Street L subway station earlier this month.

The teen boy was standing on the station platform on Oct. 3 at 1:40 p.m. when two men approached him — one with a knife — and demanded his property, according to police. He complied and the men took off with the teen’s cell phone.

The teen escaped injury from the incident.

Police have released the above video of the suspects.

Anyone with information in regard to the identities of the males is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.

You don't need to capitalize "communist"

De Blasio wants a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production?

Or…you just have no idea what communist means?

In fact, that’s EXACTLY what DeBlasio thinks he wants. He could have also said Socialist, or Radical, or Useless, or Awful, or Dangerous Partisan. I mean, really, there are a ton. But Communist worked, and still works.

And, sure, M. didn’t NEED to capitalize Communist, but it’s a stylistic choice, and it works to draw attention to the label. Or…are you just a typical supporter of this guy and hate any and all comments with which you disagree?

How dare you criticize Ukraine

Ukraine did wonders for our president, they’re socialists.

You know “communism” has a real meaning right, not just “bad” like Fox News told you.

>didn’t NEED to capitalize Communist, but it’s a stylistic choice

lmao no. They just have terrible grammar.

Does de Blasio wants a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production?

Wonder why you have no answer at all ?

Ukraine is the most socialist and the least developed country in Europe. It’s also the most corrupt European country. Have fun with your socialism dreams.

It's shame you don't support our president.

So Trump asking the Ukraine for dirt on his rivals in exchange for money is suddenly bad now? You must be from the radical left.

Apr. 28, 2025 By Cate Corcoran

While rents fell during the COVID pandemic, they climbed even higher two years later. While some contend that what is needed to ease New York City’s affordable housing crisis is more units at any price point, others say the focus should be on creating housing affordable to those most in need, while still others say let’s build it all.
