FDNY Holding Open Houses Across the City This Weekend

More than 200 firehouses and EMS stations across New York City will be holding open houses this weekend as part of the FDNY’s fifth annual open house program.

The firehouses will open their doors to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday Oct. 6.

The FDNY is holding the open house weekend to educate the public about fire and safety, conduct demonstrations, discuss careers within the Department and offer tours.

Five stations across Greenpoint and Williamsburg will be staging open houses over the weekend.

Engine 229/Ladder 146 and Engine 238/Ladder 106 in Greenpoint will both be open to the public this weekend, while Engine 216/Ladder 108, Engine 221/Ladder 104 and Engine 211/Ladder 119 will be open in Williamsburg.
