The police released photos of a man last week who went around to a 72-year-old Greenpoint resident’s home in October and pretended to be a gas company employee.
The suspect tried to gain access to the victim’s house–located in the vicinity of Nassau Avenue and Monitor Street— on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at around 4:20 p.m.
The suspect was confronted by an astute homeowner and the suspect fled eastbound on Nassau Avenue.
There were no reported injuries and no property was taken.
The suspect is described as black and was last seen wearing a light blue and purple rugby shirt, dark pants and a black hat.
