A Canarsie man was arrested and charged with murder yesterday for stabbing a Ridgewood man to death inside a Williamsburg bodega last month.

William Townsend, 26, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the Sept. 20 death of 37-year-old Anthony Santana of Ridgewood.

Townsend allegedly stabbed Santana inside Express Deli & Tobacco at 132 Graham Ave in the early morning hours on Sept. 20.

Police responded to a 911 at that address just after 4 a.m. and found Santana with multiple stab wounds to his back. He was transported to Woodhull Hospital and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
