Police are searching for a man wanted for an attempted armed robbery that took place earlier this month outside of a Williamsburg bar.
On April 13, around 1:50 a.m., the unknown gunman approached a group of individuals outside Zamaan Hookah Bar and Restaurant, located at 349 Broadway. The suspect, while showing his firearm, tried to unsuccessfully rip a chain off a man’s necks.
The suspect then began to flee the scene before firing his gun back into the group of people. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting, police said.
The suspect is described as Black and is seen in surveillance footage wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
