2 Attacked With Glass Bottle on Williamsburg Street After Gang Questioning: NYPD

A group of young men attacked a teen and a 21-year-old man in Williamsburg after asking them if they belonged to a gang, according to police.

The two victims were standing in front of 301 Keap St. at around 11:15 p.m. on July 31, when one of the assailants struck both of them in the head with a glass bottle after posing the question.

Other members of the group, made up of about five people, continued to punch and kick the victims before fleeing from the scene.

The 16-year-old male and 21-year-old were taken to Woodhull Hospital to be treated for head lacerations.

Police describe the suspects, partially seen on surveillance video during and after the attack, as males in their late teens to early 20s.

The suspect who struck the victims with the bottle is described as Hispanic, no more than 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a light complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red shorts.
