13-Year-Old Boy Punched in Face with Brass Knuckles in Unprovoked Subway Attack

A 13-year-old boy on board an L train was punched in the face by a man with brass knuckles last month causing a laceration to his eye.

The boy was on the train at the Halsey Street station, located on the border of Ridgewood and Bushwick, when a man approached him at around 3:40 p.m. on March 16 and punched him in the face.

The suspect then exited the train and then got back onto the train a few cars down. The boy declined medical attention at the scene.

The alleged perpetrator is described as being in his 30s, around 6 feet 2 inches tall and having a thin build. He was last seen wearing a beige sweatshirt, blue jeans and white and orange sneakers.

The police have released surveillance video and a photo of the suspect.
