Crown Hill Theater debuts in former home of contested Black Lady Theatre

A new theater will be opening its doors this week in the venue where The Black Lady Theatre formerly operated on Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights. The Crown Hill Theater, which will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 5, is the creation of Paul Tulloch, the founder of the Fort Greene Fest.

Bed-Stuy’s Interfaith Medical Center unveiled a newly renovated 24-bed behavioral health unit during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, and will begin admitting patients as soon as next week to the second of four planned psychiatric units at the Central Brooklyn campus.
