The Brooklyn Paramount, a historic theater in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, re-opened as a live music venue on Wednesday, March 27 after years of restoration. The same venue that used to host musical legends such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles will now bring modern talent to the stage.

New artist tapped to lead public art project in Abolitionist Place Park

A new artist has been selected by the city to create the public art portion of Downtown Brooklyn’s long-in-the-works Abolitionist Place park. Incorporated in the new plans is a monument to abolitionist “conductors” who helped people escape slavery through the Underground Railroad.
