Greenpoint and Williamsburg residents are not happy about the air quality in the greater district, according to a new study of 311 data.

Residents of the combined area logged the most 311 complaints among neighborhoods citywide for air quality issues, according to a study conducted by Amast, an online marketplace.

There were 175 complaints from the two neighborhoods combined related to air quality to 311 from the Jan. 1, 2020 through June 15. Many of the complaints concerned fumes from idling cars and trucks, according to the report.

The north Brooklyn district ranked number one, with the Upper West Side of Manhattan and Astoria in Queens ranked second and third respectively.

Upper West Siders filed a total of 151 air quality complaints to 311 over the same time frame. The bulk of those complaints were also related to idling vehicles and car exhaust fumes.

Meanwhile, residents of Astoria filed 131 complaints during the time frame. Those complaints are attributed to pollution stemming from increased development.
