Police are searching for a group of burglars who struck a Williamsburg phone store on consecutive nights earlier this month.
The group first hit the AT&T Store, located at 266 Metropolitan Ave., on June 1 at around 2:55 a.m. by smashing through the glass front door with a sledgehammer, police said.
The suspects then rummaged their way through the building and stole multiple cell phones, according to police.
They fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The group burglarized the store for a second time on the night of June 1, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., according to the police.
This time the thieves used a fire hydrant cap to break through one of the store’s glass windows, police said.
The suspects then stole another batch of cell phones and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The NYPD has released surveillance footage (above) from inside the first burglary.
Police also released video footage from the second incident (below), taken from a nearby location.
Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Defund the police, right? DumbaXXXX!
this is an example that what is going to happen from now own the cut on the police is giving this criminal the chance to do whatever they want the life in this state is going to be dangerous thank to the protester and the elected official
I agree with you Jose. It’s obvious the mayor and all the pol’s on all levels have caved to the delusional mob that is the extreme liberal left specifically here in NYC. We can only hope that as crime continues to rise at a fast rate, at some point it will be undeniable even to the vote pandering politicians here that all the NYPD defunding , no bail, empty the jails etc, has to be controlled and reeled in. In other words it might have to get worse before it gets better. Here in Bushwick East Williamsburg, fireworks are being set off nightly and constantly till the early AM. Not only keeping people awake, but risking fire s in nearby wood frame flat roofed houses. One woman posted that her roof caught fire but thankfully she, her husband and kids got out of the house in time. Yet after the fire dept left there was water damage all through all the floors of the house, causing thousands in repairs. Neighborhood boards are loaded with people who respond to the fireworks complaints by residents with Well don’t call the police cause you know they might kill someone!!! You can tell they are not from NYC and probably somewhere form the midwest, where there was little crime. Yet somehow they move here and they are now experts on law enforcement matters. Also drumming up fear for calling for police assistance. This delusion with the mass media’s daily assault of sensationalizing and spinning false narratives is why we are in this situation in NYC to begin with. Delusional people. May God have mercy on us all. And btw AOC’s seat which she is running for re-election is being challenged by Michelle Caruso-Cabrera. Any of her interviews shows a level headed person who will actually do something great for this city and not harm it and the rest of the country as AOC has done!!
if i suggest that the first one running out of the store in the bottom video, with pants hanging on his knees, is a “person of color” would it be considered a hate crime?
