Woman Knocked Unconscious After being Struck by Bottle in Popular Williamsburg Bar

Mar. 3, 2020 By Allie Griffin

A 22-year-old woman was knocked unconscious after a man struck her over the head with a glass bottle at a popular Williamsburg bar last week.

The woman was out at Union Pool, located at 484 Union Ave., on Feb. 23 when an unidentified man came up from behind and hit her over the head with the bottle — knocking her out — just before 3 a.m., police said.

The woman fell to the floor and lost consciousness, while her alleged attacker fled, according to police. EMS rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian Hospital with a concussion, pain and bruising.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.

But can’t you see she stained his $200 coat? Why does everyone who wear coat like this with fake fur lining on the hoodie immediately turn into a jerk?

Cool, casual and full of flavor, Pasta Night is a charming Prospect Heights hangout

Jun. 30, 2025 By Kacie Moschella

When you think about meals that beat the heat, a big pile of pasta may not be the first thing that comes to mind. But if your family traces back to Southern Italy like mine does, a lovingly prepared bowl of cacio e pepe is actually the perfect heat wave dish. Dense mafalde noodles cooked al dente and smothered in a simple cheese sauce, plenty of Parmesan cheese grated on top and just a few pepper flakes make for a perfect hot summer lunch in my book.
