Man Stabbed and Killed Inside Williamsburg Deli, Police Investigating

A man was found stabbed inside a Williamsburg deli early this morning, police said.

At 4:14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call and found a 37-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his back inside Express Deli & Tobacco at 132 Graham Ave.

EMS transported the victim to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim hasn’t been released, as it’s pending proper family notification.

The investigation is ongoing and police have made no arrests at this time.

According to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on May 2, the maternal mortality rate in 2022 was 22.3 deaths per 100,000 live births. Although this represents a decrease from the 2021 rate of 32.9, the data shows that Black women are still three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women.
