March 26, 2019 By Laura Hanrahan

Police have made one arrest and are searching for a second suspect following a violent robbery that left a Williamsburg woman with several injuries late last week.

On Thursday March 21, around 2 p.m., a 38-year-old female resident of 121 Wilson St. was attacked by two men inside her apartment building.

The two assailants, both carrying guns, approached the woman and struck her over the head. They then held her down and cut her hair, face and fingers with a knife before stealing her cellphone, $260 cash, jewelry and coat. The two men then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was left with lacerations to her fingers, hand and left side of her face, as well as pain in her head, neck and back, police said.

Twenty-six-year-old Anthony Johnson, a fellow resident of 121 Wilson St., was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with robbery and unlawful imprisonment. Police are continuing to search for the second suspect.
