Police are searching for a man wanted in a violent Sunday morning attack that left a woman with a large wound across her face.
The attack happened at around 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 3, when the man approached the 31-year-old female victim near Boerum Street and White Street in Bushwick.
Police say he began trying to engage her in conversation, but the woman started to walk away.
The assailant then slashed the woman’s face, according to police.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by EMS where she was treated for the large laceration.
The victim spoke to the New York Post and said she required 44 stitches after the attacker slashed her face with a razorblade.
The attacker also reportedly ran off with her purse, which had her phone, keys, credit cards and money.
The suspect is described as Hispanic and in his forties. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black hat and white sneakers.
