Another Housing Lottery Opens in Greenpoint, 9 Units Starting at $2,544 a Month

216 Freeman St. (NYC ZoLa)

Sept. 11, 2018 By Nathaly Pesantez

Greenpoint’s flurry of housing lotteries continue, as yet another new development is offering units—starting at more than $2,500 a month.

The units, four one-bedrooms, and five two-bedrooms, are available at 216 Freeman St. a six-story, 30 unit building just off the Pulaski Bridge.

The one-bedroom units are available for $2,544 a month for households of up to three people, with income requirements starting at $87,223 and maxing out at $122,070. A two-person household, for example, requires an annual household income of up to $108,550.

The two bedroom units are priced at $3,050 a month for household sizes of two to five people. Income requirements begin at $104,572 for all household sizes in this category, with a maximum income of $146,510 for a household size of five.

Amenities at the new development include a gym, roof deck, laundry room, and parking, which require additional fees.

A general preference for the units goes to New York City residents, with a small preference for a percentage of the units going to applicants who have a mobility, hearing, or vision impairment.

To apply, visit Housing Connect. To apply via mail, follow the instructions in the application flyer.

Applications must be submitted online or postmarked no later than Oct. 2, 2018.

Freeman street!!! A terrace view of McGuinness Blvd. and Pulaski bridge. Really!!!! Born and raised in Greenpoint over 70 years ago, this just takes my breath away. My parents paid $17.oo a month in the 50’s for a one bedroom. This is just to unreal. Think Florida, or 1 of the other 48.
