A bagel shop and cafe is making its way to Manhattan Avenue at the former Greenpoint Finest Deli spot.
The new eatery, to be called Bagelogy, is gearing up to be a 24-hour bagel shop that also offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at 699 Manhattan Ave.
Bagelogy is owned by Sam Kaplan, who is also a partner in the popular 24-hour Smith St. Bagels in Carroll Gardens.
Kaplan, 40, told the Greenpoint Post that the site will offer freshly baked, in-house bagels, along with cafe staples like salads, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, and more. The menu, however, is still being worked on.
He said his shop, to seat between 20 and 30, will focus on offering a variety of healthy, high-quality foods at good pricing.
“We’re going to surprise the neighborhood,” Kaplan said.
The site is still in its construction phase, and anticipate having the eatery open by December or early January.
The prior deli, a staple in the neighborhood for many years, closed some time this spring.
