The long-awaited Ramen Mafia has at last opened in Greenpoint.
The ramen joint, located at 208 Franklin St., is currently going through its soft opening phase, and will serve dinner beginning at 5 p.m., according to the restaurant’s Instagram page.
Its soft opening menu includes six ramen varieties, like “Franklin St. Soy,” made with duck, egg truffle oil, scallions, and seaweed; “Ox White,” made with ox tail, bamboo, and braised beef brisket; and “Vegetarian Slurp!” with whole wheat noodle, bamboo, tomato, and roasted almond.
Small plates like edamame, ginger chicken pot stickers, and grilled tiger shrimp are also available at the restaurant.
Ramen is priced between $14 and $19, while the small plates range from $4 to $14.
The restaurant’s owners have been posting updates on the site’s construction and offerings since last summer. Plans originally called for the restaurant to open some time in the fall or winter last year, but inspections, permits, and a five-month wait for the National Grid to update the site’s gas meter delayed the opening, the owners said on Instagram.
A full restaurant menu will be rolled out within two to three weeks.
The owners did not respond to calls and messages.

What I think is, no store will ever last there. The poor bodega owner who was there for years, had to close down after they raised the rent to a ridiculous amount, and had no other choice but to shut down. The pain was to great for him, he died of a heart attack a month later. They couldn’t rent it for a long time after that, and we saw how long the Greeks lasted. Good luck Ramen, it’s been a rough start hopefully you make it!
Unfortunately, they didn’t make it… The ramen was great but this place is already CLOSED 🙁
Great to see community support lol. This is the first I’ve heard of Di an Di thanks for mentioning.
The name of this place “Ramen Mafia” is not good – hopefully the food is better. Franklin St locations are tough because most of the foot traffic in the neighborhood doesn’t go there. You’ll have to get your name out – I recommend perfecting your menu and operations for a month or two first – people rarely forget a first impression at a restaurant.
They started with high prices $14-19, an they go to close soon like previous greek restaurant and like many others.
Say it ain’t so Joe…agreed but that price range is not considered high in the new Greenpoint.

Missed the old Greek restaurant there. I am sure this place is ok but we have countless ramen type places in Greenpoint.
Di an Di, a Vietnam restaurant on Greenpoint Ave. offers their versions of the soup bowl type entrees. It is very good if you like that stuff. They did a fabulous job of re modeling the place. The staff at Bon Appetit mag eats there a lot.
