A multi-story building is in store for the site of a former parking lot in Williamsburg.
Permits filed last Friday show plans for a 81-foot tower at 187 North 8th St., located at the corner of North 8th Street and Driggs Avenue.
The plans call for a 44-unit building with some ground retail space spanning a total of 66,953 square feet. Floors two through six would each hold between six and 11 units, while the first floor is reserved for retail, for a total of 12,823 square-feet dedicated to commercial space.
The development also includes plans for 111 enclosed parking spaces, storage for 82 bikes, and other amenities like indoor and outdoor recreation rooms, a fitness room, and a roof terrace.
The developer is listed as Hampshire Properties, which is also behind large-scale projects in Long Island City, Manhattan, several Brooklyn neighborhoods, and more nationwide.
City records show Hampshire Properties purchased the property for $27.8 million in 2017.
The developer did not immediately respond to questions on a construction timeline for the project.
The empty lot once saw plans for a stacked-box-like development by ODA Architecture, but the plans appear to have been scrapped, as the property has a new developer and a new architect, Woods Bagot.
The site formerly held the Hangry Garden pop-up, which included food and games during the summer of 2016.
