Man Punches Straphanger at Lorimer Street ‘L’ Station: NYPD

Police are searching for a man who assaulted a straphanger at the Lorimer Street “L” train station last month.

The assailant was at the station just before 6 p.m. on March 23 when he approached a 24-year-old man and punched him in the face by the station’s turnstile area, police announced today.

Police describe the suspect as black, between 21 to 25 years old, and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall. He weighs 160 pounds, has dreadlocks, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, gray sneakers, and a multicolored sweatshirt with “The Trillest” written on the front.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  All calls are strictly confidential.
