NYPD release photo of suspect in Greenpoint stabbing

The NYPD has released a photo and name of a suspect in connection to the Friday night stabbing which resulted in the death of a Greenpoint man.

George Carroll, 42, died after he was stabbed in the chest across the street from McGolrick Park while walking with his wife on Aug. 18.

Police are now looking for Gary Correa, a 19-year-old described as male Hispanic with a beard, weighing 170 pounds, and at a height of 5’9”.

Anyone with information in regards Correa’s whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477.
