A bicyclist was struck and killed by a garbage truck in Greenpoint early Saturday morning, police said.
Neflaly Ramirez, 27, was riding along Franklin Street at around 12:30 am when he was struck by a green garbage truck near the intersection of Noble Street, police said. When the NYPD arrived on the scene the Ramirez was observed lying on the roadway with severe injuries. EMS pronounced him dead.
The driver of the green truck, which was traveling southbound on Franklin Street, did not remain on the scene.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Maybe the driver of the truck didn’t even know he hit the bicyclist when you are driving a heavy vehicle you cannot feel that you hit something
Should be easy to locate that driver / truck- barreling through the neighborhood, must have been caught on many many cameras. The detective work would take about 2 hrs. The Police don’t really want to catch this guy or cross the “Sanitation Line”.
