A lone burglar broke into two Greenpoint businesses and stole property, approximately $500 in cash, and another $1,000 in coins, police said.
The unidentified burglar broke into Asian fusion restaurant Baoburg (614 Manhattan Avenue) through an unlocked basement door at around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 18. The thief then rummaged through the basement and removed unknown amount of property, according to police.
Less than an hour later, at around 2:45 a.m., the burglar broke into a laundromat less than 10 blocks away from the restaurant at 184 Norman Avenue. Approximately $500 was stolen from a money exchange machine, along with $1000 in coins. The laundromat was broken into through a side window.
The individual then fled from the laundromat in an unknown direction.
Police have released videos and photographs of the individual in question who has yet to be located or identified.
